Nepal Government, Ministry for Labor, Employment & Social security has published a notice through nepal gazette (dated 32nd Asadh 2075) regarding payment mechanism for remuneration of employees and labors.
As per the notice, all enterprises under the Labor act are required to make necessary arrangement for payment of salary and other financial benefits through banking channel within stipulated time.
Implementation provision (transition) for different types of industries are as below:
1. For Labors and employees engaged in Nepal Government, Province and Local level, University, corporation with full or substantial holding of Nepal Government, Committee, Projects- within 1st Shrawan 2075 to Asoj end 2075.
2. For Labors and employees engaged in Mass communication enterprises, Bank and financial institutions, Insurance, Hotel, Airlines, Travel and tours agency, Co-operatives, Labor supplier, Community and organizational school/college, NGO/INGO, Trust, Entities formed under Company Act, Other special act, formation order and other laws.- Within Poush end 2075,
3. Other than as mentioned in 1 & 2 above and house labor, - Within poush end 2076.
